Weather
We received a foot of light snow early last week, with most of it arriving unexpectedly Tuesday evening. Moderate wind loaded western aspects. After that temperatures got cold and northerly wind became strong. Snow has been heavily redistributed at tree line and above. We’ve returned to light snow Saturday morning, already accumulating another 4 inches.
Expect precipitation to continue through next week. We may see 2 inches of water Sunday through Tuesday. Temperature will climb above freezing Sunday night through Monday, with east wind becoming strong. A suspect weak layer exists at a previous crust around a foot deep. This all will probably cause avalanche activity.
