Donations, Memberships, and Sponsorships

The Alaska Avalanche Information Center (AAIC) was formed to help individuals make informed decisions in the backcountry.  The AAIC also supports interested groups in forming and starting local regional avalanche information centers.  The major cost of producing advisories and providing other avalanche information/education programs in Alaska is paid for by our customers, members, donations and grants. We depend on our supporters to help sustain the Alaska Avalanche Information Center.

Thank you for considering membership with the Alaska Avalanche Information Center or making a donation this season. You can also take advantage of our regional membership package and join both the AAIC and your local center.

Enjoy the benefits of membership: Special gear discounts, automatic notification of new forecast/observations for your local region, advance notice of training opportunities and special member only events. For regional avalanche centers, membership provides insurance for Directors and Officers, general liability and workers compensation. In additional, all regional centers can nominate a representative to serve on the statewide board of directors and receive non-profit consulting and support services.
