General Observations

Also posted on Avalanche Canada:

Fast travel conditions on a mix of highly-faceted wind slab, some surviving hard wind slab and unconsolidated facets in areas sheltered from NW wind.

Snowpack test results: Site at 1220m, E aspect, 30 degree slope. Sheltered from NW wind.

CTM SC down 30cm on slightly rounded SH sz 1-2mm (consistent results in 3 tests)

Some whumpfing observed in low angle terrain where the wind slab had not faceted out.

Numerous loose avalanche size D2-2.5 observed in steep south-facing slopes, but suspect these are the same reported by HAC in Friday's forecast.
