Toured up the North/East Shoulder on Tiekel.  Crusty wet snow in the lower trees to about 1600 feet transitioning to heavy thick snow.   Winds were heavy at times out of the South/southwesterly.  Did not observe any blowing snow or active transport at lower elevation up to 2800 feet.  A heavy slab on north east aspect packed powder up to 24 inches thick.  Steepest slope was less then 30 degrees.  No whompfing or red flags signs observed.  Structure was poor with thick slab on top of hollow.  Skiing was superb.
