General Observations
Snowmachine remote trigger from today (3/25/19), about 1pm. Hardslab. Failed on some near surface facets – the layer that slid seemed like it was the most recent snow from 3 or 4 days ago, (hasn’t been precipping much up that direction) Happened in Hurtle creek, SW Aspect, 35-40 degree start zone. Crown was 1-3’ deep. 5200’ at the start zone. Debris pile was over the head in spots. All hard chunky debris, cinder blocks. 1 finger windslab over 4 finger/fist. I drew a line on the first picture the route the rider took, slid to the left of his track – it popped when he was about halfway up the slope. Second slide went after the first one had almost completely run its course. Pretty sketch in the interior regions right now
