12/24/19 – 54mile/Squaw Creek- Hard to tell exactly how much new snow had fallen due to wind but my best guess would be about 1' of new at the top of the drop in that goes down into Hurtle Creek(5000'). The new snow had not slabbed up into a potential slide-able layer but im sure with a wind, warmth, or more snow it would have been concerning. Underneath the new snow there is a pretty firm wind layer, and the rain crust goes to about 4000'. So not the best riding conditions but for us interior folk we take what we can get.
