General Observations

Skiing on hippie ridge today found that at mid elevations 2500-4000 feet the new snow had been redistributed by the wind .   Above 4000 feet there was less wind affect in the location we were skiing up to 5700 feet. On the bench below 4000 feet 3 skiers triggered shallow soft slabs about 6 inches deep created by wind deposited snow.  the terrain we triggered these on were small roll overs but could be more significant on larger terrain where soft wind slab has developed or above terrain traps.
