Weather

The CRH avalanche season has begun. While we only have a couple inches of snow at sea level, 3 feet sits at the top of the ski hill (`1500ft). Monday night through Wednesday brought 2 feet of snow to the upper mountains. Moderate wind loaded western aspects. Temperatures decreased as precipitation ended Wednesday.

Expect dry cool weather through the weekend. Backcountry users should use caution in the upper mountains, especially on steep western aspects. More snow may arrive early next week. The hazard may increase then.
