Bryant Evans and Tyler Kloos were riding snowmobiles approximately two miles from the Cooper Landing trailhead when an avalanche occurred. Evans told troopers he witnessed the avalanche bury Kloos, who was wearing an avalanche beacon, according to the dispatch.
“Evans located Kloos and dug him out,” troopers wrote. “Other people in the area assisted.” Kloos was transported by LifeMed helicopter to the hospital near Soldotna where he was pronounced dead. Read More Here
