Rich has been an AAIC member and supported local efforts for the Valdez Center for many years. He is an Operations Supervisor for Alyeska Pipeline Service Company in Valdez and has worked the pipeline from top to bottom as a contractor. He supported the Valdez Search And Rescue team for a few years and has been heavily involved with the Valdez snowmachine club for many years as well.

“I am all about avalanche awareness and backcountry safety and am honored to have the opportunity to help support that effort in my local community and for the state of Alaska. I feel that the AAIC and its subsidiaries provide an integral service to the outdoor community of Alaska and I look forward to supporting that effort.

I live in Valdez with my wife Colette, my adventure dog Sadie, and I’m an avid outdoor enthusiast whether its winter or summer. I enjoy backcountry and big mountain adventures including snowmachining, snowbiking, Fat Biking, Mtn. Biking, Paddle boarding, RZR ripping, Dirtbiking, and road trips on my Harley. We have three boys between us and two have grown up in the mountains of Valdez snowboarding, snowmachining, and learning big mountain/backcountry safety.”
