General Observations

12/26 Small Creek up to 2800′- Overcast with light- moderate snow/ calm/ 14° F/ north aspect

Shooting cracks: Yes

Collapsing: Yes

Avalanches: No

Found collapsing and small shooting cracks in valley bottom failing 2 feet deep on a layer of preserved columns from 12/19. Snow pit at 2500′ showed that facets were developing on top of the 12/1 rain crust and were reactive in stability tests, PST 20/100 END down 80 cms 12/1/20, repeated twice. Collapsing and shooting cracks became less prevalent as elevation was gained.
