Recent Avalanche Activity

Recent Weather

The first half of this week brought 4 inches of water with the freezing line climbing to our local peaks. Some avalanche activity occurred. Recent dry cold weather has allowed the snowpack to drain and refreeze.

Expect light precipitation Saturday tapering Sunday. Models suggest less than a half inch of water. East wind may create isolated wind slabs in the upper mountains, but avalanche activity is not expected to affect lower elevations.
