Recent Weather

The time has come to start the avalanche season. While there is little snow at sea level, a foot exists at 1000 feet and nearly 4 feet sits near the peaks. Expect an inch of water tonight. This should be a mix of rain and snow at sea level and a foot of new snow in the upper mountains. Avalanche activity may occur above tree line but is not expected to reach the highway. Weather should dry out and cool off Wednesday, allowing the avalanche hazard to decrease by evening.
