We received a half inch of water early Saturday morning. This translated into 4 inches of snow above 500 feet. Strong east wind quickly followed, loading western aspects. Precipitation resumed Saturday night, bringing another ½ inch of water so far with the freezing line above 1500 feet. Observations have been limited, though some small avalanches have probably occurred above tree line.
Expect precipitation to taper by Tuesday, allowing the avalanche hazard to decrease. Another wave of precipitation, however, looks to arrive Wednesday night, followed by another Friday night.
